Canned Peaches in a Smoothie
Have you ever wondered “what to do with canned peaches?”
One of my favorite convenience items to use in a smoothie is canned fruit. Since the fruit is already peeled and sliced, it makes it easy to combine.
Using canned fruit such as peaches is also a great item to use when peaches are not in season.
Of course, frozen fruit options are always a winning combination as well.

Using Frozen Ingredients in a Smoothie
Smoothie with Yogurt
The recipe calls for Greek yogurt, but here is a little secret… use what you have. If you have a different type of yogurt that will blend with the flavors in the smoothie, go ahead and use it.
In making this smoothie, I forgot to purchase Greek yogurt and used what I had on hand.
Using the fruit to sweeten the smoothie is the best method to reduce the sugar. A drop of honey adds a nice touch of flavor. If you are concerned about sugar content of smoothies, here is a round-up of smoothies from a variety of places.
Should I Add Ice to the Smoothie
It is a total personal preference if you want to add ice. Adding ice will give you more volume so there will be more mixture. Consider how you like your smoothie. In addition, consider if you are adding frozen fruit versus fresh fruit or thawed fruit.
Honestly, sometimes I don’t love the ice chips in my smoothie. (It may also depend on your blender). The ice also adds more water, so your flavors may be less vibrant.

Strawberry Peach Popsicles
You probably won’t have leftovers because it is so delicious, but if you do, make strawberry peach popsicles. Not to mention, leftover smoothies of any kind make a great use of leftover smoothie.
Strawberry Peach Lemonade
Similarly, a great way to use similar ingredients with a twist is to make lemonade with them. Either add lemon juice to the smoothie mixture or add a few spoons of the strawberry and peach puree to the lemonade.
